  • This place definitely lives up to the hype! It’s nice, clean, and welcoming, with an atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while. The food is absolutely amazing—easily one of my favorite spots to eat. Prices are affordable, portions are generous, and everything tastes fresh and delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall great experience. Just a heads-up, bring cash for tips. Between the good service, tasty food, and inviting vibe, this spot is a true gem and well worth visiting again and again!

  • The steak and egg is my go to or their empanadas. It’s a place to get a quick bite sit in or take out . I gave them 4 out of 5 stars because I remember coming here and they would stuff their sandwiches where the meat would fall off the sandwich and that’s one of the main reasons I would come here. I recently came here and we immediately noticed a difference in how they didn’t put much meat besides that customer service was great!

  • Love a good hidden gem like this! The service was quick, the food came out hot and fresh, and everything tasted fantastic. The fries were served in generous portions, and for the price, it’s an incredible deal. I also noticed how clean and well-kept the space was—the dining room felt spacious and comfortable, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. What really stood out was the simplicity of the food: just a few high-quality ingredients, perfectly balanced, delivering amazing flavor. The Cuban sandwich here is easily one of the best around—delicious, satisfying, and made with care. Combine that with the reasonable prices, attentive service, and casual yet welcoming atmosphere, and this place is absolutely worth checking out.

  • I went to Chicago for my niece’s graduation, and then my sister, brother in law and I went to one of his favorite spots. We drove to El Cubanito in Logan Square. This spot is a neighborhood staple, & had been there for years. Not gonna lie, I was super excited to try out some good (dare I say GREAT) Cuban food. Y’all, this place did NOT disappoint!!I ordered the Steak Cubanito ($8.35). I can’t tell you the spices that made up this sammy, but I can tell you I had to cross my legs once I bit into it! Portion size was excellent and filling. The steak was tender, hot and delicious. My only regret is that I can’t get another! I ordered the can of soda ($2) because it was unfamiliar to me. Sodas aren’t typically my thing, and this one was no exception as it had an aftertaste that reminded me of some kind of artificial sweetener. The plantains were excellent! I rated service a “4” because you order at the register and they call you to come pick it up. I rated Atmosphere a “4” because it’s a true local spot, not upity and not scary.

  • Incredible food. I’m here to say the food tastes so much better than it looks in other reviews. I tried the steak empanadas, steak and egg sandwich, fries and cafe con leche. The coffee was the best I’ve ever had, though I’m not a coffee buff. The fries serving size is massive. Service is minimal but works efficiently. Walk in, order and pay, then grab a seat and your food will be delivered, after clean your table and stack trays at station.

  • Great Cuban sandwiches and empanadas, amazing plantains. Cuban sandwich came out super hot and fresh amazing, crazy cheese pull!...fresh amazing bread Loved that! actually everything was super hot except the empanadas witch was still good. The plantains is must!! We also ordered fries they were basic, but hot and fresh. Order 2 empanadas one steak and one chicken both good loved the crust... my favorite was for the steak...l wish they had some sauce options tho other then Louisiana hot sauce...but you really can't beat the pricing it spot on! Super Popular among locals and Hispanics that live in the community. I need to come back and try the steak sandwich and one breakfast sandwich, next time! 100% recommend!
